Beta Invites for The Elder Scrolls Online Sent Out

A new batch of invites for The Elder Scrolls Online have been sent out, Bethesda have revealed. They've also promised that the beta will continue to grow between now and launch next year, so if you've been unlucky today, don't give up hope just yet. Although I expect emails have finished being sent for this round of invites, it's possible that things may continue through to tomorrow, depending on your email service and how quickly the emails come out from Bethesda's side.

So, were you lucky?

The beta ought to be good fun, and pretty deep as well, considering that we're now rapidly approaching The Elder Scrolls Online's original release date. You'll obviously have to keep quite tight lipped if you get in, but the knowledge that you're playing one of the biggest MMOs of 2014 will probably be enough to make that worthwhile.

We’ve started to send another wave of invitations to the ESO beta, as we continue to ramp up our beta program. Invites will be going out over the next few hours, so check your email periodically to see if you’ve been invited to the test. Don’t forget to check your spam folder! We’re looking forward to the next beta session and can’t wait for more of you to see the game.

The Elder Scrolls Online takes place all across the Elder Scrolls world, with locations from Skyrim, Oblivion and Morrowind recreated on a massively multiplayer scale. Many of the biggest features of the franchise will be making a return as well, so it's definitely one to watch if you're a fan of the series. 

Some MMO gamers were a little underwhelmed by The Elder Scrolls Online's E3 showing, but there's plenty of time for them to build the hype between now and Q1 2014. The Elder Scrolls Online will be available for purchase on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
