End of Nations Alpha Resumes Today

in End of Nations, News

end of nations moba enters alphaTrion Worlds had impressed us when we first played End of Nations last year. Of course the game was supposed to be an MMORTS (more strategy than RTS too) back then. Today, it's a new game, it's another genre. End of Nations, the game many had presumed dead, is now back online with its new Alpha version. And the game is a MOBA game now. It features a brand new gameplay, offering smaller teams and more powerful heroes. The UI has been reworked and the graphics have been cleaned up for a finer experience. Only if you care for MOBAs. End of Nations is back with a new Alpha version

End of Nations had so much potential for an MMORTS game, which is a genre not many writers here at DevilsMMO care for. I personally have not found an MMORTS game that's got me excited as much as EON had in 2012. Despite its solid gameplay as an RTS, Trion Worlds had suddenly stopped working on the game and we had not heard of End of Nations in almost a year. Later on, there were some life signs and apparently Trion Worlds decided to change the game and make it a MOBA.

So, the new End of Nations is a MOBA, as we may call it now, is back with its new build for another Alpha testing. The Alpha test has launched today giving players with invitations the chance to play the new version of the game. (We're now getting new versions of uınreleased games.)

“We received a tremendous amount of positive feedback from our last round of Alpha and Beta testing – and applied those learnings to the game, boiling it down to the strongest core game elements –tactical combat, session-based gameplay, and vastly improved hero units,” said Scot Lane, Executive Producer of End of Nations.

I don't know how positive feedback made them delay the game, cancel the Open Beta and kept us in the dark as they shared nothing with us for months but I guess the so called "positive" feedback was so "good", they decided to make it a MOBA.

I was really looking forward to playing End of Nations after seeing the potential it had but today's news is a little disappointing. The game is going to feature smaller teams of two to four players and the gameplay has changed. Disappointing is that the gameplay was pretty good. I also never thought they would come up with smaller teams. After all, we're just going to have to wait until we get our hands on the game before saying anything about it. Frankly, I would have been more excited if they had build on the game we played last year but it doesn't necessarily mean that the game has changed for worse. It could easily be a fantastic MOBA, or maybe a hybrid game. We shall wait and see. If you happen to play the game together, please share your thoughts in the comments section below.

Now, on to the new set of screen-shots of the new End of Nations
