Firefall: Public Beta Tests announced

Red 5 Studios has some great news for the fans of shooter games who haven't had a chance to play Firefall yet. Firefall, the free to play open world shooter has been in Beta for a long time and it has always required a Beta access key. With the upcoming public beta weekends, other players will get the chance to visit Copacabana. Read on for details and the new Firefall trailer.

Firefall Public Beta begins

Firefall is going to be opening its doors to Copacabana in February and March. Developer Red 5 studios just announced three public beta tests to be held in the next 6 weeks. The first one of the three beta weekends is coming this Friday. With the public beta weekends, Red 5 will host a series of contests that players can submit a video or a screenshot to win prizes like Razer gaming gear. These Beta Weekend stress-tests will be completely unlocked with no keys required – allowing everyone to participate in the Tribe’s Closed Beta push. Additionally, each 48-hour weekend will incorporate a community unlock, exclusive contest and unique theme to teach new players what Firefall is all about. This weekend features:
·      Skillshot Contest (Video) – Record and submit an epic skillshot video for a chance to win a prize pack filled with Firefall SWAG and Razer™ gear
·      Skillshot Contest (Screen) – Screencap a stylish skillshot for a chance at being featured on the official Firefall Facebook page
·      Community Unlock – Play during the weekend to unlock an exclusive, customized Battleframe decal
·      Livestream – Join a special episode of Firefall Live on TwitchTV to see Athene and Reese owning the competition with their own skillshots
