Neverwinter will launch on June 20th

Perfect World's Dungeons & Dragons: Neverwinter is in my opinion their best product to date. I have played the game for hours during the Closed Beta and I have to admit I was amazed by it. It's partially because I never expected it to be that good and I am not really a huge fan of Dungeons and Dragons game. I was expecting a game with little action and boring combat but I was wrong. Neverwinter is now in Open Beta and today, PWE and Cyrptic has announced the release date and the first details of the game's first expansion: "Fury of the Feywild". Neverwinter launch date announced: June 20th, 2013

Fans of the Dungeons and Dragons games, mark your calendars for the launch of Crytpic's new D&D MMORPG "Neverwinter". Dungeons and Dragons: Neverwinter, which has had 4 Closed Beta weekends and still in Open Beta is ready to launch officially and Cryptic has already got an expansion ready for release, as well as new end-game content.

Those who want to find out more on Neverwiter can check out our extensive Closed Beta coverage. Neverwinter had entered Open Beta on April 30th and it has since allowed all players unrestricted access to the game. Those who participated in Open Beta will have a great advantage as Cryptic is not resetting characters created in OBT.

Cryptic has also revealed end-game content: The Gauntlgrym featuring massive PvE and PvP battlegrounds, challenging players with the greatest treasures hidden deep in the ancient Dwarven city.

First expansion announced

If you remember, we had reported on the first module for Neverwinter back in May. Now we know the name of it. Fury of the Feywild, the first Module for Neverwinter, which is about the siege of Sharandar, is going to be delivered as a free content expansion this summer. We will find out much more in the coming days on this expansion but enjoy the The Caverns of Gauntlgrym trailer along with the latest screenshots of Neverwinter.
