Trion Worlds To Develop End of Nations In-House

End of Nations fans, you can now relax and get ready for a new and better Beta testing of End of Nations. Trion Worlds announced last night that it has decided to continue the development of the MMORTS in-house following the lay-offs at Petroglyph Studios. Last week, there were rumours that the end of End of Nations was near but now we are looking at an improved and polished version of the game. MMOs Stagnating There’s one thing I’ve noticed over the last few weeks. MMOs like to borrow from other MMOs. Perhaps there’s no more incestuous corner of the gaming industry than our own and it has long-lasting effects that perhaps developers don’t consider when perpetrating this particular “crime”. It’s something that’s apparent whenever you consider World of Warcraft and its relation to any other MMORPG released in the last 8 years, but it goes far deeper than that. I thought to begin a new month, we’d take a look at an old problem and how it infects our gaming even today.

Museum of Modern Art Announced Its Selection of Video Games

Are video games art? If you asked us we would say yes but the answer comes from Museum of Modern Art as it has announced its first selection of 14 video games. The first selection includes the popular Sci-Fi MMO game Eve Online too! The selection begins with Pacman, the classic from 80's, continues with the unforgettable Amiga title Another World and includes Sim City as well.
