Age of Wulin: Legend of the Nine Scrolls Screenshots

Age of Wulin, the free martial arts MMORPG set in China by Snail Games is going to enter Closed Beta soon. The MMORPG is combat oriented but there is much more to it. You can decide to become a musician beggar or a fisherman, or even a herbalist. Players will be mastering their own styles of combat by acquiring new skills and train their professions and choose different paths. Age of Wulin professions

Age of Wulin's professions are grouped into four categories. Manufacturing, Gathering, Culture and Marketplace. Crafting will be carried out with manufacturing professions. 

A beggar can be a musician or a chess player...

Manufacturing professions:

• Blacksmiths : for swords, daggers and other bladed weapons
• Tailors: clothing and etc.
• Chefs: cook meals. This is a signifcant advantage as players will need to eat regularly in Age of Wulin. And the level of hunger will effect crafting and the quality of crafted materials.

Gathering professions will be used to collect resources in order to earn money. 

Gathering professions are: Farmer, Fisherman, Hunter, Woodcutter and Miner.

Culture and marketplace professions will be the unique professions available in Age of Wulin. Let's say you decide to become a beggar, you will also be able to choose to become a musician beggar or a professional gambler who offers to play Chinese Chess. This is perhaps the most interesting part of the MMORPG. Beggards will generate good chi; which is the positive energy. And players who donate money to poor people will erase the negative effects from committing crime.

All professions will be open to training further and players will be able to learn different professions from different categories. Age of Wulin's profession system is a very complex and unique system that is going to take quite a while to get used to. We're definitely looking to get our hands on the CBT. Enjoy the screenshots.
