Family Guy Online Won't See Beyond Beta

We didn't see this coming. It was quite exciting to test Family Guy Online in Closed Beta earlier this year and it's awful to hear today that the game is closing in January. We eve had a first impressions review and the game is not meant to be. In other words, the game will not even see beyond the Beta. Short announcement on Friday revealed the bad news and the developers didn't even comment on why they had to take this decision. Continue reading for the official announcement.

Family Guy Online Closes

This was announced on Friday but we just found out thanks to RottenBlased, a DevilsMMO reader, the browser based MMO is closing on January 18th. Having received the sad news, we visited the official site and saw the short and sad announcement. Family Guy Online is closing and all purchases since the early stages of the Beta will be refunded early January and that's all there is to it. Oh well, we still have the show to watch. Maybe there will be another Family Guy Online game in the future...

It was earlier this year when we first found out about Famliy Guy Online and everyone at DevilsMMO got all enthusiastic. In May 2012, we were already testing the game in Beta and it wasn't bad at all! Having played the Beta in early stages, we thought it would become a solid game but it wasn't meant to be.
