The Old Republic: Voicing the Universe

SWTOR voice acting Star Wars: The Old Republic is officially a record breaker - if you ever saw the TV show, feel free to start singing the theme song. It’s not in there as the world’s most awesome game like many of you would have liked and I’m not sure it’s beat the excellent start World of Warcraft had (it seems that’d be the sort of thing they’d be bragging about), but it does boast “the largest entertainment voice acting project ever,” which in itself is an impressible achievement. Some critics are claiming that this is game-changing; others are saying that it’s just a slightly updated version of the tried-and-true quest system we all know and begrudgingly love.

So you call yourself an MMO gamer. You have been playing games since you had your first personal computer. You climb up the rankings and you have a high level character. It still doesn't prove that you are one hardcore MMO gamer. We are not looking for proofs but the question is; how many MMO games can you handle?

Last week (last month and last year) we took a look at what games could possibly be holding our attention in 2012; I think you’ll agree there’s going to be some pretty fantastic stuff. Whether an old game reimagined and made new or a new game to be improved upon over the next twelve months, I can’t imagine many people are complaining about a lack of content over the next twelve months. This week, instead of looking further forward, we’re going to look over the last year and decide on some of our favourite games of 2011.
