You’ll be offered chances to perform quests, run through dungeons, fight bosses and perform menial tasks for ungrateful strangers; if you’re thinking of getting into the MMO genre it is the "classic MMORPG" that you’ll probably end up playing.
These will appeal to people who want to put all their efforts into a single game, who like strong communities and a lot to do.
