GW2 Flame and Frost : The Razing Is Live
The Razing is Live
Guild Wars 2 Flame & Frost is a four-part update and ArenaNet has deployed the 3rd part of this update: the Razing. Earlier this month, we had a look at The Razing and gave you some of the details. Today ArenaNet has announced all the other features of the update. Apart from the renegade army of Charr and Dredge getting ready to destroy everything in their paths as they invade the Shivering Peaks. If you remember our Razing preview, we had pointed out to the fact that once a player was level 80, there were nothing much to do anymore. That won't be the case any more. With The Razing update, there comes the World XP and World Ranks.

New Adventures: Rox and Braham
The Razing introduces two new adventures. First, join Braham on his journey to find aid for those norn who stayed behind in the foothills of the Shiverpeaks. The Molten Alliance is never going to welcome you with open arms so be prepared!
The second adventure is with Rox. Rox is sent on a mission by Rytlock Brimstone. You will be teaming up with Rox and help her prove herself. Care to help Rox? This is your mission then!
World XP and World Ranks:
Players can now participate in World versus World events and defeat enemies to earn World Experience. This is differnet from the Experience we are used to. World Experience points will be used to unlock special World Ranks.
Every World Rank earned will come with a World Ability Point, and if you reach certain ranks, you will also gain a new World Title. WXP you receive from defeating another player will depend on the age of the victim. In other words, you'd be stealing experience from another one. If you kill someone who's been around for a long time, you will gain a lot of ability points.

These World Ability Points will be spent on unique WvW abilities and these will improve your character. World Titles are a great way to show off your expertise to your enemies. Imagine carrying a World Title, noone has obtained before... These special World Titles will show up instead of your display names. (the names your enemies see) What this changes is that, for instance, instead of a player display name: “Sanctum of Rall Invader.” the player will show up as “Sanctum of Rall Recruit.” should his World Title is a "Recruit". (you don't wanna be recruit!)
So why have ArenaNet come up with a system like this? To give players something to constantly work towards. With this new World Ranks, kind of like a "level of fame", players will be looking to build on their fame and popularity. All World Ranks will be bound to your characters and it won't be account-based.

Guild Mission Updates
Players can now take Guild Bounty Target missions and win new rewards and other improvements. The new Bounty Hunt Training is a new 15 minute mission that players will try to defeat a bounty target in only 15 mins. In order to gain access to this mission, a guild will need to research Art of War Level 3. It costs 300 Guild Influence and 72 hours of research time. ArenaNet introduced three new The Guild Bounty Targets: . As the guilds are hunting down hundreds of bounties every day the criminals of Tyria are not surrendering. They are hitting back hard and there are also three new bounty hunt targets that will be more challenging and more elusive than ever before. The new bounty hunt targets are 2-Mult, big Mayana and anonka the Rat-Wrangler. You can find more details on these new bounty targets over at GW2 website.
That's all for now. The Razing is fresh and we will definitely be taking a better look at it in the coming weeks. Devil out.
