It has been 5 years already? Aye! Bounty Bay Online players have been sailing since February 2007. As the next update "Poseidon's Legacy" is approaching, Frogster says thanks to Bounty Bay Online's loyal players with a couple of special anniversary events and freebies.

We have not been counting but it's started to feel like, with hundreds of MMOs out there, it is almost like every single day is an anniversary for an MMO. This time, it's the high-seas MMO game "Bounty Bay Online" celebrating its 5th year online.

Today, Frogster has announced a log-in contest that will reward players who login during the anniversary week as well as a crossword puzzle testing...

With the approach of the next expansion, Poseidon’s Legacy, dark storm clouds are gathering, threatening to send all but the saltiest of sea dogs down to Davy Jones‟ Locker. The mysterious Temple of Poseidon will lure brave treasure hunters to depths hitherto unfathomable. New instances, perilous canyons, a legendary Temple and a secret stash of treasure are just waiting to be discovered by curious adventurers.
Frogster is really going the extra mile to thank players for their support over the years. For starters, there will be a log-in contest – everyone who logs in during the anniversary week will automatically be entered to win a set of non-virtual pirate gear including a replica blunderbuss pistol, a leather pirate hat, a spyglass and a compass with leather case. Players can also look forward to a challenging crossword puzzle testing a wide range of buccaneer knowledge. The first swashbuckler clever enough to solve the puzzle will be able to call the legendary Black Pearl their own.
