Champions Online : Stats changes

Champions Online is going to undergo a lot of changes stats wise. Lead designer Chris Matz posted about these changes. As they are also working on Specialization Trees they have also been working on addressing stats issues.
Primary and Secondary Super Stats
The biggest change is that the devs are going to be removing the ability to have "two Super Stats". Instead of that, players will have a primary and secondary super stat. As you can guess, Primary Super Stat will be identical to what we had before. Secondary Super Stat will have less bonus damage.
The new method will make it easier for players to see which stats they want as an Archetype, and make it easier for Freeform characters to maximize their potential.
Roles
Another change is about the Roles. Devs have decided to renamed the Roles. This was done as the devs thought it was hard to describe what they were intended for. Roles will also affect how Super Stats work.
Previously, even if you were in a Support or Tanking Role, Super Stats always provided you with more damage. While more damage is nice, it isn’t really what you want out of those roles. Now, being in a DPS role will provide you with the maximum damage bonus, while Tank and Support Roles provide bonuses targeted at those Roles
Apart from the changes to the Roles, Stats are undergoing minor tweaks as well, like the Strength, Presence, Ego and Dexterity.

Specialization trees, itemization changes and all the stats tweaks will go live at the same time. Through specialization, some of the stats will receive additional benefits.
One example - if your Primary Super Stat is Ego, you’ll be able to Specialize and allow your Ego stat to also increase your Critical Severity. Another will cause your Secondary Super Stats to... oh, looks like I’m running out of space, and I haven’t even touched on some of the other changes...
