City of Heroes Fans Standing Tall
![]()
No matter how popular or not an MMO is, it's never taken positively by the fans of the game when the publisher decides to shut down the game. And one can easily empathize this. Unfortunately the magnitude of the protest is usually smaller than what can keep the game alive. In the case of City of Heroes, this is probably the biggest in-MMO protest against NCSoft's decision. The protest is not limited to in-game activities either. Continue reading to see the in-game protest video.
Never Easy to be a Hero!
It never ends, does it! If you're a superhero, you gotto save it all. This time for the Heroes in COH (City of Heroes) the mission is to save themselves. In order to survive, City of Heroes players marched together to the City of Hall at Atlas Park protesting NCSoft's decision to shut down their beloved MMO. Of course this protest also meant huge support for the development studio ; Paragon Studios.
It's hard to expect NCSoft to reconsider this decision as I am sure this wasn't take overnight but if you watch the video below, you'll definitely admire the support from the studio's and game's fans. It's like basketball fans supporting their teams when they are 3-0 down in play-off series.
What's ever better for Paragon and COH is that some fans have taken an extra step by sending letters to NCSOFT's CEO. Another support came from the fantasy writer Mercedes Lackey who promised to contribute to the game without compensation should NCSOFT takes back its decision.
