DC Universe online celebrates 1 year anniversary

SOE yesterday announced the celebration of its popular MMO title "DC Universe Online." The free to play transition at the end of 2011 was obivously the greatest change in 12 months. It also helped grow the PC user base while the PS3 MMO version has been as popular. SOE is giving away a special cape as an anniversary gift to the players.

One-of-a-kind One year Anniversary Cape

Sony Online Entertainment is celebrating the 1st year anniversary of its PS3 & PC action MMO game DC Universe Online. In order to receive this free cape, you need to have an active account as of January 11 or earlier. If you do, you only need to complete your mission journal to receive this one-of-a-kind (so called) cape.

The game had transformed into free-to-play at the end of last year.

Lorin Jameson , Executive director of development at SOE said :

"We broke a lot of new ground with last year's launch of DC Universe Online, both by successfully creating the first PS3™ MMO community and adding true action combat to the genre. The free-to-play transition at the end of last year is a proof point that our community is stronger and larger than ever.
