Elder Scrolls Online makes you a hero again!

Elder Scrolls Online is and will be what we are talking about until its release in 2013. That's a long time. There is so much to talk about, and ask about... One of the questions was regarding if the game will have a Solo game mode and according to the game director, Matt Firor, it sure does.

Elder Scrolls Online - Get'em all on your own!

In every Elder Scrolls Online game, you are the hero and according to the interview with game director Matt Firor, the game will still be all about the player. This means, when you are about to finish off the biggest dragon in game, there won't be anyone else around. It's either you, or you!

"In the Elder Scrolls games you're always the hero, whether you want to be or not. You go out there and you kill the dragons; You kill Mehrunes Dagon in Oblivion; in Morrowind, you're up there fighting the Tribunal - those are huge, global, epic things that you don't want to stand in line to do in an MMO. The last thing you want to do is have the final confrontation with Mehrunes Dagon as he's stomping across the Imperial City, and you see like 15 guys behind you waiting to kill him because they're on the same quest." said Matt Firor, the game director.

There is a part of the game, which is great news if you ask us, that will be 100% solo. And that is the main story of the game. Everything you do will be Solo and the game's world will reac that way.

Matt Firor also talked about the community. According to him, the members of the community that speak up and criticise them the most are the players who invest in their game, and who care enough to complain about it. 

This 100% solo story is going to be open for debates for a very long time. From one angle, this means, the game will have the potential to please those who are the fans of Elder Scrolls games and not necessarily the MMOs. However, one could argue that, if you make the main story of a game 100% solo, how good of an MMO game can it ever be? We will have to wait and see...
