Final Fantasy XIV : Job system

A new job system has been explained at Square Enix official message board for Final Fantasy XIV. As the patch 1.21 is soon to be released, community rep Triairy has discussed the new job system in details.
Final Fantasy XIV patch 1.21 is going to include the new job system
So why is there a need for a new job system?
In Final Fantasy XIV, the Armoury system will be the core of the growth system. Players will be developing other classes and strengthen their main class as a result.

On the contrary, the new job system is a character growth system that is going to help grow and strengthen the main character class. Thisnew system will start at level 30 and it will feature special quests to unlock abilities, job specific equipment and more. According to the post, these new quests won't be too difficult and they will help boost character growth.
There will be 7 jobs in patch 1.21 and they will have their own quests. The jobs are:
- Paladin
- Monk
- Warrior
- Dragoon
- Bard
- White Mage
- Black Mage
Players will also be able to switch between class and jobs when they complete a certain quest and receive the soul crystal. This crystal will be used to switch between jobs.
Patch 1.21 will also have job specific actions and players will be taking on unlockable quests as they progress. When they acquire a soul crystal, that job will be learned.
When players change jobs, their base parameters will be changing automatically. Whereas different rules will be applied for the specific gear.
