Final Fantasy XIV : Server merge on March 27th

If you have been following us or Final Fantasy XIV, you should already know about Square Enix's plans for a Final Fantasy XIV server merge. The company had first announced the merge but last week they announced they would be reassesing this plan. Today they make another announcement and reveal the exact details.

Final Fantasy XIV servers will be mergin on March 27, 2012 for sure, Square Enix has announced. From March 1st until March 19th, players will be able to decide on which world they would be willing to get their accounts transferred to. This stage will consist of two steps, first step allowing players to change their destinations worls until that worls is full and locked. Second stage will not allow players to apply for a transfer to a locked world.

And on March 27th, following these two steps, Square Enix will carry out the server merge process. Hopefully, they will not have any technical issues and we will be able to carry on playing FF XIV.
