Game of Thrones MMO to debut at GDC

Bigpoint will showcase its upcoming MMO "Game of Thrones" at Game Developer Conference. Having partnered with HBO to make an MMORPG of the Emmy award winning show Game of Thrones, Bigpoint is going to discuss the game with the press.

Game of Thrones, adapted form the best-selling fantasy book series, A Song of Ice and Fire, the game will be set in the medieval world of Westeros. 

The TV Show on HBO has been extremely popular and it has won several awards. We will have to wait a little longer to see if Bigpoint has been able to build on Game of Throne's strong storyline in the upcoming browser based MMO.

Artplant is the developer of the game. The development studio is based in Norway and it has also worked on another Bigpoint title "Battlestar Galactica Online". Just like BSGO, the game will be powered by popular game engine "UNITY 3D".

Game of Thrones has been in production since last summer and its closed beta is expected to launch next fall."
