Based on the famous universe from George R.R. Martin’s saga and the TV series, Game of Thrones official website launched today with a new video discussing the Combat System. Players who face enemies will have a chance to slow down the time for strategical planning. Continue reading to see how it's done in Game of Thrones.

Focus Home Interactive today released a new video for its upcoming RPG : "Game of Thrones". In the new video, developers discuss the combat system.

Active Pause System

The sneak-peek to the combat engine includes the Active Pause System that allows playes to slow down time to consider his/her decisions to turn the tide of the fight. This is done to avoid urgency in game during combats and add more strategy elements to the game (like a turn based strategy game).

Combat Style

Main player characters wil have unique individual classes. Allister for example will be able to fight as an Archer or Water Dancer. The different classes determines the weapons that can be used. This will force players to make decisions before they go into a fight. For instance, if you are going to face multiple enemies, Allister will have the advantage of attacking them from range.
