Guild Wars 2: Final Beta weekend will launch July 20

Arenanet announced the release date for Guild Wars 2 last Thursday. One of the most anticipated MMORPG's of the year will finally launch in the last week of August, so we have about two months to wait for it. Arenanet also released a new teaser trailer that simply tells all GW2 fans: "Get Ready". We already are, aren't we?

Guild Wars 2 to launch August 28th

I remember an article about three months ago how Arenanet and NCSoft kept silent about the release date of Guild Wars 2. The writer had a point. They never really speculated and made us all wait for the release date. Even when the game was available for purchase, there was still no release date announced, which was quite awkward. When you pre-order a game, you expect to know when you'd have it. This had never been the case for Guild Wars 2 fans who desperately purchased the game without a certain release date.

Guild Wars 2, if you don't know much about it, will feature a stunning virtual world full of players who work together, perhaps the first time ever in the history of MMO games, to work together as allies. Guild Wars 2 has its unique combat mechanics as well as customizable personal storylines that allows a unique experience to any individual player. 

Once you purchase Guild Wars 2, you won't ever have to spend a dime to keep playing the game. There are no monthly fees involved. As great as this may sound right now, we should still wait for the final product and let it mature for a couple months before we judge how it actually works out for players and the publisher. 

The final beta weekend of Guild Wars 2 will launch July 20 and will end on July 22, leaving players wait for the remaining 36 days. There is still a chance that Arenanet squeeze in another beta weekend between July 22nd and August 28th. We shall wait and see...
