League of Legends: Tribunal, a success

It has never been an easy task for the developers to handle community behaviour problems. The classic method to hire GM's to police the community has not been the best solution for giant games like League of Legends. Riot Games' final solution Tribunal seems to have been successful according to the latest statistics.

Tribunal is how Riot Games decided to solve the community behaviour problems, yes we are talking about player harassment caused by trouble maker players. Every MMO gamer is familiar with such problems. Those who cause trouble for masses are usually monitored by GM's in MMO games. However, this was not an applicable solution for League of Legends with 15 million players. Riot Games, instead of hiring thousands of GM's had found a better solution and the numbers they have announced last week show their progress.

According to the latest post by League of Legends' community managers, Tribunal has been worked pretty good so far. 50% of players who were punished improved their behaviour.

In fact, the League of Legends community has cast over 16 million votes to either punish or pardon those summoners reported for negatively impacting games. And of the people who are punished, 50% reform and improve their behavior, never to enter the Tribunal again!
