Nevertheless, today, EA Sports and free to play games publisher Nexon announced their new partnership to bring the FIFA Online franchise to Korea later this year.
What we know so far about FIFA Online 3 is that the new game will feature next gen engine. This means, for the first time in FIFA Online, we will see the fantastic game engine from the FIFA series. (Such as FIFA 12). In FIFA Online, EA Sports had been using the old game engine that we remember from the PC version of the game back in 2009 and earlier.

This means FIFA Online will most probably feature the Impact Engine and advanced physics engine from FIFA series. This should take the online soccer games to a new level. According to the first press release, FIFA Online will support 5 vs. 5 multiplayer matches. There is a countdown on the teaser site of FIFA Online 3. August 13, 2012 will probably be the date the site launches. We should find out later about the launch date of the Closed Beta.
FIFA Online 3 will feature improved gameplay and strategies, enhanced graphics, the latest rosters, and extensive use of official licenses - including close to 15,000 real world players from 30 leagues and 40 national teams.
