Secret World : Open Beta delayed

We had posted that the open beta for Secret World would begin this month. However, Funcom has announced that the Open Beta will not be going live anytime before Christmas. There is also more information about the price structure.

We will have to wait longer for the modern day conspiracy theory based MMO game : Secret World from Funcom.

The game has been attracing MMO gamers since the release of the Gamescom trailer. There has been some news that Funcom would launch the Open Beta this monht, however these all proved to be rumours as the company stated that the Open Beta would be available no earlier than Christmas.

According to the post on Gamespy the game's price structure is not yet decided despite the earlier statements of Funcom's CEO.

"In light of recent speculations about the open beta date and business model for The Secret World, Funcom would like to make some clarifications.

Open beta will not be initiated before Christmas, but will be a part of our strategy next year prior to our April 2012 launch.

Funcom has not yet made any official announcements regarding the business model or price points for The Secret World. This is still being discussed and evaluated internally, and we will make an official announcement when this has been finalized."
