SWTOR: Update 1.3 Allies is now live

Bioware announced the launch of Star Wars The Old Republic's new update 1.3: Allies. The new update has brought new features; Group Finder, Ranked PvP Warzones, Adaptive Gear, new enhancements to the Legacy system. Read on for all details.

SWTOR: Allies is now live

Finally the wait is over and Bioware today released update 1.3: Allies for Star Wars The Old Republic. Community demand features including Group Finder, Ranked PvP Warzones, Adaptive Gear, new enhancements to the Legacy system has arrived with update 1.3 adding more depth to the MMORPG's social features, customization options and PvP mode.

Matthew Bromberg, General Manager of BioWare Austin said: “We are living up to our commitment in setting a new bar for what players should expect from a premium MMO service. In just six months, we have already released three major game updates that have added new content and game features that have addressed the feedback from our fans. And we are just getting started. By the end of this year, we are adding more Warzones, more Flashpoints, more Operations, more updates to the Legacy System, new companions, new storylines and more. We are very excited about the future.”

Update 1.3 - Allies features

Group Finder – How hard is it to find and meet up with your friends? If you have been reading SWTOR forums, this has been one of the most favored features. Group Finder alows players to connect with others to take on challenges.

Ranked Warzones: PvP gets more challenging as players will be creating a group to compete in the new ranked warzones and receive rewards. Players will then be able to track personal performance and compare it against other players.

Legacy Character Perks will enable the customization of leveling experience for Legacy characters. Sspace combat, PvP, Group Missions and Flashpoints, players will be able to choose which gives more rewards. 

Adaptive Gear  is another feature introduced with "Allies". You can now wear your favorite social gear into combat while you still receive bonuses from your best combat gear.
