World of Tanks New Trailer Explains Physics Update

in News, World of Tanks

World of Tanks new physics engine
If you have ever played World of Tanks, you probably have seen how ridiculous it looks at times. Without a proper physics engine, the heavy tanks in World of Tanks has always looked like agile athletes for almost two years since the release of the MMO. Fortunately, with World of Tanks update 8.0 that is being released today, it all gets super-realistic thanks to the game's new physics engine. Read on for details.

World of Tanks Get Proper Physics

How can you move like that with the heaviest tanks in history? This was one of the questions myself and perhaps thousands of other gamers asked themselves when they hit the battlefield in the tank combat game.

Today, a revolutionary content update goes live in World of Tanks. Wargaming is releasing World of Tanks update 8.0 which is implementing the all new physics engine. With the new physics engine, World of Tanks players will have to forget all the tactics they have learned in two years and start from scratch as the new gameplay is completely different from yesterday.

Tanks will be affected by stones on ground, they will be sideslipping if turned too fast and they won't be able to just stand still on the edge of a hill or a bridge. The new update is all about realism and players will have to remember how heavy these tanks are.

Update 8 is not all about this fancy physics engine as it also introduce new renders, the lighting is improved, there is the new adaptive camouflage, new map functions and four new tank destroyers as well as the first ever British elite tank.
