Free to play or pay to play, with or without a subscription, nothing really comes for free and MMO games are not an exception with all the little micro-transactions and expensive in-game items. Even if you start with a decision not to pay a dime, sooner or later, an addicting MMO will convince you like a hot girl. When the time comes to opening that wallet of yours, you need to choose one of the payment options. Will it be convenience, or security? Mobile payment or credit card or maybe PayPal... Payment Options In MMO Games: Which one is the best?

Nothing is 100% secure on internet. You must have been reading about giant companies unable to protect customer information and hackers have been stealing all sorts of account passwords. And some of them were not even encrypted. Blizzard was the latest victim if you have been following the gaming news. 

When it comes to payment methods in online games, the first thing you should be certain of is the security of your sensitive billing information and especially your credit card details.

One of our favorite payment methods at DevilsMMO is PayPal. PayPal has its own security measures and I believe it's by far the best option for any kind of purchasing online. Most of the MMO games, if not all of them, accept PayPal.

And then there are Mobile Payments where you are charged via your mobile phone bill or directly if you are using one of those prepaid cards. The disadvantage with mobile payments is the additional GSM provider fees that usually force game publishers to set higher rates for mobile payments.

Each payment option comes with its positives and negatives. For instance, a mobile payment might be the most convenient and probably the most secure option but it is expensive and there are limitations to the amount you can pay at once. Most of the game publishers don't prefer to be paid via mobile because of additional charges both to them and their customers.
