Riders of Rohan is now live

Lord of the Rings Online's new expansion Riders of Rohan has been released earlier today, October 15th. In the last few months, we have been writing all details about the expansion here at DevilsMMO.com. In order to recap everything about Riders of Rohan, we are posting the highlights of what we have learned about the expansion along with the fantastic landscape screen-shots of the Riders of Rohan.

Experience Rohan

It's time to join with the Rohirrim and start riding across the Plains of Rohan. You will witness the breaking of the Fellowship at Amon Hen; forge alliances with the Ents of Fangorn; and aid Éomer, adopted son of Théoden, as he seeks to protect his homeland from the growing Shadow. Riders of Rohan expansion adds so much to the story of the MMORPG, adding exciting new content.

Mounted Combat

Mounted Combat is the main feature of Riders of Rohan. Lord of the Rings Online players have always been familiar with rides; horses but with Riders of Rohan, mounted combat is coming to middle earth. Ride into combat on your War-steed as you defend the people of Rohan from the forces of Isengard and Mordor. Players will be able to customize the armos, level and its skills over time. With the Warsteeds, players will be taking on the merciless Warbands all over the Plains of Rohan.

Take a good look at Warbands, they will be everywhere...

Just like in the books, Saruman sends out 40 or 50 packs of mounted orcs at a time and they devastate town's people and the landscape of Rohan. But now, players will have something to counter that. With their warsteeds, with unique skills and fighting abilities in combat, players will move faster and battle strharder than a non-mounted character. 

Mounted Combat is nothing like regular combat. Players for the first time will discover Momentum in game-mechanics. Momentum will play a big role in mounted combat. At normal speed, War Steeds will move fairly fast but players will also have the ability to slowly speed up over time and reach the actual top speed. And with the use of Momentum, damage will increase and players who master riding a combat mount will be able to use it to their advantage.

Level 85

Players will continue the adventure in the next chapter of The Lord of the Rings Online: "Riders of Rohan". New adventures in the epic story, players will gain new skills on road to Level 85.

LotRO Legacy : New Soundtrack

 The upcoming expansion Riders of Rohan will not only introduce the new Rohan region to us but it will also include the soundtrack recreated by artist Chance Thomas.
