AION's housing system detailed

AION free-to-play's upcoming update 3.0 will bring a new extensive Housing System. Players will be customize their own home the way they want it, with the new construction handcrafting. The new update will also feature new weather conditions. Read on to get all the details on update 3.0

AION f2p Update 3.0 - New features explained

NCSoft has revealed the details of Aion free-to-play's upcoming content update: Update 3.0. The biggest feature of the update is the new Housing System. This new Housing System will help players construct a unique home that suits their needs. This will be made available with the game's new construction hand-crafting feature. 

The new Housing System offers players two types of houses. The apartment and the Detached house.

The apartment comes for free and players will only need to have completed a quest from level 21. There won't be a rent but only the interior sides will be customizable.

The Detached houses will be limited on each server and players will have to join an auction and also pay a monthly fee. There will be 4 types of Detached Houses. They will come in different sizes and both the interior and exterior sides of the Houses will be customizable.

The Weather System

AION's new Weather System will be realistic according to real world calendar. There will be rain and new monster challenges offering players valuable items.

Finally, there is the new handcrafting skill: Furniture crafting. This will be used to create home items.

Update also 3.0 features two new areas and a mount system which will help explore Atreia more quickly.
