Eve Online Alliance Tournament X details announced

CCP has posted all the details of the ultimate battle, Eve Online Alliance X. Top pilots in Eve Online will battle for 4 weeks in Eve Online for the glory and honor of their alliance. The tournament will begin June 30th. Read on for the complete schedule and other details. 

Eve Online - Alliance X Tournament details

CCP has announced the full schedule of the Eve Online Alliance X tournament that will launch at the end of the month and 64 alliances will fight for glory for four long weeks. CCP will also have live broadcasts on EVE TV during the tournament. The broadcast will be rich, with community made stories and details on the two new ships.

According to the latest developer blog post, CCP has partnered with Caldari State who sponsors the tournament. Details on these two extremely powerful ships but so far developers have posted some information.

The Osprey hull is Etana. The name is drawn from the same branch of mythology as the Gallente Ishtar and the AT8 Utu, and has a nice connotation with some ancient Caldari-Gallente history involving Caldari Prime. This variant, which is the first prize, is a pioneering logistics ship with the added capacity to fit a covert ops cloak along with some very powerful skill bonuses.

 

The Merlin hull is Cambion. The name comes from a half-demonic entity which ties in nicely in with the description of a crazy, fiery rocket brawler with mad overheating bonuses plus it's believed that the Merlin of wizard fame was either a cambion or descended from one.

Design on graphics and bonuses for both of these ships are ongoing and may be subject to change. CCP Soundwave and the Alliance Tournament team will bring you full details on the ships during the live broadcast.

32 team Group Stages – Saturday, July 14, Sunday, July 15 & Saturday, July 21

16 team Finals – Sunday, July 22
