Genius release Maurus professional gaming mouse

We will be taking a look at various gaming mice in the next couple weeks. Today, we start with an affordable gaming mouse. Genius Maurus FPS professional gaming mouse.

I personally don't like the "professional" title in game hardware. Unless you are one of the players who compete in Sports League and this has become your career, you are not really a professional. You need to be making a living out of gaming to be called a professional. We will look into this in another article.

Genius is known with its affordable products. In the last couple years, I have seen a number of gaming grade hardware manufactured by the company. This new mouse, Maurus features programmable five-buttons which would be ideal for FPS/RTS.

The customizable Genius Maurus gives gamers a personalized experience in gaming. The software (Scorpion) that comes with the mouse allows players to set up to 21 macros. The mouse also has an onboard memory chip that lets you save all your settings on the mouse. This saves you a lot of time when you need to take your mouse elsewhere and use it on another computer. 

Maurus supports up to 3500 dpi and it has four adjustable levels. The Genius Maurus with its 20G acceleration will help you to stay on target.

Maurus also features a breathing-like lighting system that gradually brightens and dims the scroll wheel and logo during game play. This is something we know from Razer Naga. 

Genius Maurus : Affordable gaming mouse

Maurus is not really the best gaming mouse out there. Some of its features resemble other mouse brands but it is a perfect alternative to some high-priced items. So if you are looking for a gaming mouse under $50, this could be for you. We will continue with Logitech g300 and A4Tech X7 next week.
