Neverwinter debuts at PAX East 2012

Neverwinter was one of the most desired games at last year's E3. Apparently, Cryptic has showed the latest version of the game at PAX East 2012. Based on D&D 4, Neverwinter takes players to the surviving city of Neverwinter as Humans, dwarves and elves work together to create a new city.

Neverwinter to feature most of the races players expect from a D&D game

Neverwinter is the upcoming D&D 4 based free-to-play MMORPG from Cyrptic and Perfect World Entertainment. Expected to be released later this year, Neverwinter features one of the most beloved cities from Dungeons & Dragons : "Neverwinter". Players will have the chance to create their own quests and levels becoming a part of the Dungeons & Dragons universe. 

Neverwinter is the new D&D MMO game based on D&D version 4

According to PC Gamer's latest report from PAX East 2012, the game will feature most of the races that players expect from a D&D game at launch. 

Lead Producer Andy Velasquez noted that most of the races players expect from a D&D game will be there at launch. The release of classes will be a bit more spread out: a solid core that make up the D&D roles of Strikers (DPS), Controllers (CC), Defenders (tank), and Leaders (support) will be available at launch, and many more added regularly afterwards. Neverwinter will be free-to-play, and Velasquez mentions League of Legends as an inspiration for this style of class release, but he refuses to specify if the classes will be monetized similarly.

PC Gamer also reports that the game's main focus is to provide an entertaining combat while it also features auction houses, crafting, armor sets, capital cities, and bars and other social hangouts...
