Reloaded happy with sales of APB

APB Reloaded's publisher Reloaded Productions managed the game from the company's Edinburgh office. General manager of the Scottish office revealed the number of concurrent users that player APB on average. Reloaded had purchased the rights for APB back in 2010.

APB Reloaded being played by 10 thousand players on average

It's the number of concurrent users on APB Reloaded servers on average, reported by the Scottish office of Reloaded Productions, the publisher of the game.

The game has attracted over 3 million subscribers already and the company reports a steady growth in sales and the number of subscribers.

Michael Boniface, general manager of the Scottish office, said it would take a full year to determine the exact level of sales, the majority of which are generated by online micro-payments.

“But certainly what we have seen from December has been a steady increase in subscribers and purchases,” said Boniface, noting that an average of 10,000 people around the world are now playing APB at any given time.

This seems like another company happy with the free-to-play business model. Boniface praises the f2p model too by saying that players are free to buy anything if and only if they have fun. 

Boniface was the director of IT at Realtime Worlds the previous developer of APB which was initially released in 2010 following a five year development stage. The 2010 launch was a disaster and later on Reloaded had bought the rights of APB.
