Guild Wars 2 launches this Spring

Welcome to the year of the Dragon! This is how Arena.net president Mike O'Brien announced the launch details of Guild Wars 2 which is going to have Beta testing this spring. In his latest blog post yesterday, O'Brien announced the open beta tests for Guild Wars 2 which just completed its CBT.

Finally, the year of the Dragon has arrived and Mike O'Brien is thrilled about it. We are more thrilled about what he announced yesterday. The arrival of Guild Wars 2 is not that far anymore. Starting next month, Guild Wars 2 will open its gates to the press and following that, in March and April, the game will be open to players in a series of beta tests. 

Guild Wars 2 has captured the imagination of gamers and media all over the world with its action-oriented combat, its living world full of dynamic events, its highly personalized role-playing experience, and the handcrafted artistry that suffuses every element of the game. Last year, thousands of you joined us at shows and events all over the world to try Guild Wars 2 for yourself.
