League of Legends: What is the Spectator mode?

Riot Games released the full version of Spectator Mode, the new feature in League of Legends that basically allows you to spectate your friends, features games and more with the new tool. If you're wondering how it works in game, continue reading.

Spectator Mode - League of Legends

In League of Legends, there is a new feature since last week. This new feature "Spectator Mode" allows you to watch your friends in action. The new tool offers three options:

1. Custom Games
2. Spectate Friends
3. Featured Games

In Custom Game mode, you simply select a game you want to spectate. To protect champions privacy (or players' privacy) , players who create a match can choose to disallow Spectator Mode and keep their strategies to themselves.

2nd, you can watch your friends playing normal, ranked or custom games. 

3rd, there is the Features Games mode which allows you to spectate games featuring some of the best players in League of Legends. This is very useful for players who want to learn how the best players play.

One problem that could arise from this was if a team worked with a player that'd spectate and help them. Riot Games placed a 3 minute delay in spectator mode so noone can cheat. 

There is the Directed Camera that intelligently moves around the map catching fights for you. There is also the guide the Directed Camera which gives you more control and then there is the Timeshift control that allows you to slow down, rewind or jump to any minute of the game.
