Rift's new free to play light version is launching today. The light version, Rift Lite will be released today by publisher Trion and it will feature the latest expansion "Carnival of the Ascended" just like the full pay to play version. This is a great chance for any MMO gamer to see what Rift has got to offer.

Rift 1.7 to introduce PvP changes

Rift developers have posted PvP related information for the Rift 1.7 update. Players will find Prestige Rank Overhaul, new Attunement Path of War and new items as well as Bolstering and the Mercenary system.

Rift launches on Origin with bonuses

Trion Worlds' popular MMORPG Rift has been added to the list of games on EA's Origin. Beginning today, players will be able to purchase the MMORPG's standard and Ashes of History editions on Origin. There are in-game bonuses for a limited time as well.
