SWTOR break pre-order record

It looks like EA will probably be able to challenge Blizzard's dominance with 11 million WOW subscribers as Star Wars The Old Republic is coming strong even at pre-order stage and without a certain release date. The company revealed that SWTOR has the largest number of pre-orders compared to their other titles.

According to the news on The Independent, EA has already broken a record with the highly anticipated MMO game Star Wars The Old Republic. As we are still waiting for a release date, EA had previously forecasted on how SWTOR would make them money and their first goal was 500k subscribers.

It surely looks like they will beat that number by far. Are we looking at a game without a release date but capable of beating 11million subscribers record set by World of Warcraft? We will find out after holidays 2011. (EA has not revealed the release date but mentioned the game would be out in holiday 2011)
