SWTOR character transfers coming this summer

Last Friday's community Q&A session by Bioware for Star Wars The Old Republic revealed the developer's short terms plans. This summer will come the character transfers and there will be updates to the achievement system. Continue reading for details.

SWTOR character transfers will be available this summer

Star Wars The Old Republic's most demanded Character Transfers will be made available by Bioware this summer, according to the latest Q&A session by the developer last Friday.

The character transfers will come in free and paid forms. There is no certain date yet but Bioware should be able to disclose these all in the next Q&A sessions. There are also new content to be added to the game before summer like erver-wide explosions like the Rakghoul Plague.

"We will be rolling out our Character Transfer Service in early summer," Erickson explained in the Q&A. "First we’ll have some targeted free transfers from/to specific servers, but that will be followed with a broader system where you can either take advantage of free promotional transfers to specific servers or paid transfers to the server of your choice. We know everyone has more questions about character transfer, and we’ll reveal more details closer to the launch date."

Bioware also hinted on a revamped Achievement System but details will follow later, perhaps in the next Q&A session. We will post more details when Bioware reveals more information regarding the new content and Achievement System.
