Guild Wars 2 Gameplay Review Episode 13I left you last week on something of a cliff hanger. After choosing between using untested techs or heading into the Lychcroft Mere ourselves, we chose to take our chances in the Mere. After fighting countless undead Risen and rescuing both soldiers and children, we then had to choose between rescuing a small town from a Risen invasion or investigating elsewhere to prevent further attacks. Triskell Quay will be destroyed if we don’t get there quickly, but focusing our attention there could cause trouble for us later on. So you’ve had a week to decide? Which did you feel was the better option? Personally, I decided to save Triskell Quay.

Guild Wars 2 Diary Episode 12Last week’s slow journey through the world of Guild Wars 2 meant that we were now a little bit closer to getting onto the main story. The Ringmaster is long gone, the help given to us by a Mesmer so we could sneak into Two-Blade Pete’s layer is just a distant memory and, if you followed my advice last week, you’ll have explored as much as you possibly can and will have probably made it to about level 20-25. You’ll probably have pretty decent armour/weaponry and, if you don’t, be sure to head into a town and repair/purchase the best stuff going. You’re going to need it: especially if you’re of an underwhelming level. This week we’re moving into a swamp filled with the undead. Worse than that though, you’ll have a couple of very difficult decisions to make.

Guild Wars 2 Diary Episode 11The Ringmaster is done and dusted – at last. His devious plan to destroy society in Divinity’s Reach by having the lower classes kill the Queen. He had planned to hypnotize them using The Floating Grizwhirl, but things didn’t really turn out as planned and, in the end, we managed to kill him. That doesn’t mean everything is safe, however, and the idea that one of the Queen’s own ministers might have initiated both this attack and the poisoning of the water seems to make sense. At the end of last week we were invited to see the Queen and discover the next part of our story, and this week started with a brief visit to the palace.
