SWTOR release date announced

It's very risky to post news based on rumours and we have felt that way today. Only a few hours after our post about Best Buy hinting SWTOR's release date for December 31st, Bioware on Twitter posted the pre-order link for SWTOR that reveals The Old Republic's release dates in America and Europe.

Last week, we posted here about the possible delay to Star Wars The Old Republic's release date. Rumours and some official announcements hinted that the highly anticipated MMO could be released as late as 2012. Good news is that on Bestbuy's website the release date has been set to December 31st.

Star Wars the Old Republic may be delayed

According to Examiner, Star Wars The Old Republic's launch might be delayed until the first quarter of 2012. The reason for the delay is that Bioware's development team is willing to do more scalability testings and tunings.
