Today, Blizzard revealed the opening cinematic of the eagerly awaited expansion Mists of Pandaria. The video is about 4 minutes long and has been revealed earlier today at Gamescom 2012. In Mists of Pandaria players will unlock the mysteries of the lost continent and discover the dark secrets of Pandaria's past as they explore ancient kingdoms hidden since before the Sundering. Defend Pandaria from the shadow!

WoW: Patch 5.04 will be available Aug. 28th

And now it's official. World of Warcraft's biggest update patch 5.04 is coming exactly in two weeks, one month prior to Mists of Pandaria expansion which will be released September 25th. Patch 5.04 will bring loads of new content including shared mounts, pets, and talent changes. Unlike the majority, some WOW players prefer to play Guild Wars 2 which happens to be released on the same day. Read on for Patch 5.04 details and a new image-gallery for Mists of Pandaria!

World of Warcraft: Down to 9.1 million subscribers

Blizzard has just posted its latest financial report, covering the second quarter of 2012. As of July 2012, World of Warcraft has 9.1 million subscribers. This means another big loss for the company. Only three months ago, Blizzard had reported 10.2 million subscribers in its Q1-2012 report. In the report, Blizzard also mentions the huge success of Diablo 3. Read on for details.
