Eve Online: Odyssey goes live

CCP Games had announced the "Odyssey" update before PAX East. The developer has just confirmed that the expansion for Eve Online has gone live. Eve Online: Odyssey, Eve's 19th free expansion introduced a Discovery Scanner, rebalanced zones, enhanced game UI, addition to the storyline beyond Battle for Caldari Prime as well as new ships and redesigned tools. Defiance has a new game update, that is unfortunately bringing in a mysterious illness to San Francisco. And if ark hunters can't stop it in time, this disease will make its way to the town of Defiance in no time. The update is a crossover event and in the Defiance episode to be aired on June 17th, and it will mention the spreading infection. Everquest Next to Debut at E3

Alongside console must-haves like The Last of Us, The Last Guardian and Infamous: Second Sun, it seems like Sony will be bringing Everquest Next with them to E3. At the very least, the game has been named on the E3 insider site. After years of teasing and what seems to be some pretty heavy restructuring, Everquest fans will be happy to know that their wait is almost over. It's almost time to see where their favourite franchise is headed next. This, linked with a hinted 2013 release date, means you might be playing "the largest sandbox MMO ever" (their words, not ours) sooner than you might think.
