Bigpoint partners with Fox to make Ice Age Online

Famous motion picture franchise "Ice Age" is going online as a browser based online game. Bigpoint is partnering with 20th Century Fox to develop the first ever Ice Age online game that will feature the original characters and settings from the films.

Bigpoint and 20th Century Fox has announced a new browser based online game based on the Ice Age franchise. The game will be based on original movies and will have all the unique characters of Ice Age.

“We’re excited to work with one of the most successful film franchises of all time,” said Heiko Hubertz, CEO and founder, Bigpoint. “We’re equally happy to begin working with Fox on this project and are eager to give Ice Age fans another way to enjoy the fun they’ve had at the movies.”

The game will use the UNITY 3D engine which delivers highquality visuals in a web browser.

There will be unlockable content and players will be able to create a unique character using the game's advanced character customization options.

Ice Age Online will allows players to play as sloth that recently discovered the perfect place for animals from the herd to live.

During the journey, the herd will get separated and lost and that's where players will come in to rescue the lost animals and build up a camp for them.

The adventure mode in Ice Age Online will give players a chance to collect precious acorns and construction materials – such as wood, flowers, coconuts, and mud from locations based on the film franchise.
