Day Z: 2 billion Zombies Dead and Counting

Arma 2 Combined Ops mod DayZ has surpassed 1 million unique players! Only about two months since its release, Dean Hall's impressive game mod has witnessed over 2 billion zombie kills and 3.7 million murders. In DayZ players find themselves in the middle of nowhere with a flashlight. Don't you worry, it doesn't take long to find a gun or even a crossbow.

I know it's not the first, or the second time you read about Zombies here at DevilsMMO. We do have an obsession for Zombie Games, we admit that. However, we are not the only ones. If you are not one of us, there are over 1 million players that have been playing the Arma II game mod "Day Z" in the last couple of months.

Doesn't it look like a scene from the Walking Dead?

I read this on MCV today and had to visit the official site of the game. Currently the counter on the site reads 1,001,793 unique players, 797,165 alive characters, 2,147,483,647 zombies dead and that number is climbing crazy! I don't know how many zombies they have got left in the Arma II mod game world but these players have been killing about 2 thousand zombies a piece. 

If you still don't feel the urge to visit Day Z website and download the Alpha client of the game and give it a whirl tonight, then I don't know what to tell you. 

And before you start playing, I should warn you again. The game's not only about killing zombies and other enemies, it's also about survival and I mean it. You will have to feed your character regularly bu hunting animals for their meat, otherwise, you're either dead or the zombie population increases by 1. Good hunting!
