Forge of Empires: 1 million players in 8 weeks

Browser based strategy games are always popular. The accessibility of a browser game combined with the beauty of strategy games is often very appealing to online games fans. This must have been the case, luckily for InnoGames as its new strategy game, Forge of Empires attracted over 1 million players in 8 weeks of beta testing.
InnoGames announce 1 million players for "Forge of Empires"
Forge of Empires which went into open beta at the end of April, following the CBT that we had announced here, has been played by over 1million players, as developer InnoGames announced earlier today.
In the browser based strategy game, players, build their own city and research new technologies, build custom buildings and strengthen their military power to prepare for future attacks.
Single player campaign in game is satisfactory enough to keep players playing SOLO while the rich PvP-features of the game turns it into a competitive experience.

Forge of Empires: Update coming next week
In an effort to thank the first million of registered players and to make it a better experience for them, InnoGames is planning to release the first major update for Forge of Empires next week. Among the new features, there is the new trade function which will allow players to trade freely within their guilds, they will also be able to upgrade residential buildings.
There is also the brand new neighborhood merging system that puts players of the same rank and activity closer to each other.
