Forge of Empires is the upcoming epic strategy browser game from InnoGames. The game is expected to be released early next year. One of the goals in this strategy game is inventions. Players will have to research the achievements of mankind such as gunpowder and cartography.

Another browser based strategy game is in the horizon. This new strategy game is being developed by InnoGames and it will be published Q1/2012. Forge of Empires features Civilization-like elements. The basic idea is to create your own empire and develop it as you research new technologies ranging from woodwork to gunpowder. 

In order to gain access to advanced construction and units and to move your Empire through the ages, players must research the greatest achievements of mankind. From basic ideas such as woodwork and smithing, to complex inventions like gunpowder and cartography, players must decide which inventions will be vital to the future of their city. Only by researching technologies will you be able to gather rare resources and create spectacular buildings like castles and cathedrals.
