Gameforge delighted over Aion's f2p boost

750k new members join Aion Online after the free to play transformation

The most successful business model seems to be the free-to-play model in MMO industry. Another great example is "Aion Online." Publisher "Gameforge" today revealed the progress they have made since the free-to-play launch four weeks ago.

According to the latest release, Aion Online receives 20k registrations everyday. The total number of registrations from the launch of free-to-play is 750 thousand. Not only the total number of new players, there is also growth in the number of daily active users.

“With the successful launch of the AAA title AION, Gameforge has heralded the start of a new era for its free-to-play sector. Further AAA titles will follow in the coming months”, said Alexander Rösner, CEO of Gameforge.
