League of Legends to add a new dimension to MMOs

Riot Games announced the 3D game mode for League of Legends, the popular MOBA game. League of Legends will have this new 3D mode this month and players will only need to acquire a pair of red and blue glasses. Riot Games announced a new game mode for League of Legends. This month (April), players of the game will have a brand new game mode that places their favorite champions in 3D battlefields. Riot Games released a new teaser trailer for this new game mode, which doesn't really give us much of an idea. We will only wait and see how that works out in an MMO game.

To be honest, I wouldn't get too excited about this. Apart from the best of the best 3D movies, all the 3D applications in gaming industry has been a disaster. The current technology that forces you to wear heavy and uncomfortable glasses is the biggest problem with the 3D technology. I would be really surprised if this new LoL 3D mode turns out decent. We just have to wait a few weeks more...
