Planetside 2: 2013 Plans To Be Revealed Next Month
OK, so the massive MMOFPS that everyone has been waiting for has launched. We're talking about Planetside 2, what else! The game had impressed fans of the genre since the day it was announced. However the launch with all the server related issues, not like we don't see that happen in other MMOs, was far from impressive in the eyes of the game's fans. Good news is that Planetside 2 developers have been hard at work fixing most of the bugs. With the upcoming patch next week, 95% of the crashes will be eliminated. Continue reading for what SOE's CEO had to say last night.
Planetside 2 : 6 month Roadmap for 2013 is to be revealed in January
What's better than being informed of what's coming to your favorite MMO? If Planetside 2 is one of your favorites, you are the luckiest. John Smedley is probably the most active CEO in the industry who loves engaging with fans on Twitter and message boards. He visited the official forums of the MMOFPS last night and informed the fans of the game once again.
According to Smedley's latest post, Planetside 2 game client is quite stable now. 95% of the crashes have been eliminated by the developers as they have been releasing patch after patch. Another update is coming next week, right after this weekend's Double XP events.

Infantry render distance issue is among what's coming with the next patch. There is also a new anti vehicle weapon coming.
Bug fixes, further optimizations and something big, but secret, is coming in January.
And in early January SOE will be putting their Planetside 2 roadmap for the next 6 months.
The development team is also working on many new features such as orbital strikes, vehicle transport...
Smedley didn't forget about cheaters, something he has been talking about on Twitter for the entire week. I wonder how this affects cheaters. Sometimes it just provokes them for the worse but it's still good to see action is being taken on SOE's side. We can't be playing with cheaters in such a massive MMOFPS, can we?
"One other important issue I wanted to address - cheating. We are all aware of the cheaters who us aimbots and other tools. We are tracking and banning these people. I don't want to pretend there is a magic answer to this. We have a great deal of tools at our disposal and people who fight this every day."
