RIFT is now 100% Free

RIFT free to play has launchedRIFT is now free to play! That's the story of the day for MMORPG fans. As announced earlier last month by Trion Worlds, the game is now free to play and Trion Worlds also announce it as "No Trials, No Traps, No Tricks" sending a message to some other titles that went free to play with limitations. The world of Telara is now open for all, read on and see the latest trailer and sign up for free today. 


RIFT is now free to play -without traps

Noone falls for it anymore. We have seen several free to play transformations in the last two years but only a few of them were taken positively by gamers. This has been mostly because of the limitations that publishers applied to the f2p versions of the game. Content limitations, stripped features, level caps, time caps, you name it, loads of annoying little limitations had started to make people lose hope on free to play MMOs. 

Today, Trion Worlds announced the launch of the free to play RIFT and they underline three things: No traps, No tricks and No trials. This means the world of Telara welcomes all players for free and that is without any limitations. 

I have not had the chance to play the latest RIFT 2.3 and check out this free to play version but from what I hear from the game's developers, RIFT is a free to play and NOT a pay-to-win title.

Creative Director Bill Fisher said: "The aim is to keep free and paid players on the same level - this is not pay-to-win. Players will see key differences between RIFT and other MMOs that have adopted free-to-play: we don't restrict content, and we don't offer pay-to-win items."
