The Secret World: Final beta weekend details
DevilsMMO.com readers know pretty much all about The Secret World, thanks to our massive coverage for the 1st beta weekend of the game. Last weekend was the 3rd beta weekend as Funcom opened the gates to new regions beyond Kingsmouth. The 4th and the final beta weekend "The Battle begins" will launch this Friday giving players a chance to experience the PvP. Read on for details.
The Secret World #4 - Final Beta Weekend will launch June 22nd
The Secret World is based on three secret societies (not really a secret anymore) The Templar, The Illuminati and the Dragon. In the 1st beta weekend, we had covered the Templars' story with loads of The Secret World screenshots and gameplay videos. In 3rd beta weekend, we had the chance to play as the Dragon, going to Seoul to see how the story begins for the Dragon. To be honest it wasn't all that exciting or unique when compared to the Templar story.
Everything looked generic and similar to the Templar storyline except for the Seoul part which was not that long. This could be due to the game being a beta yet and we really hope so, as the game has so much potential, it would be a shame to see it go waste. We are definitely looking forward to playing it once more this coming weekend. We will try to cover more from the Illuminati and PvP side of the game.
The 4th weekend is going to be the best of all as Funcom promises. Players will be able to experience all the content that has been included in the three previous Beta Weekends, such as all three secret society starter experiences, the town of Kingsmouth, the Savage Coast and the Polaris and Hell Raised dungeons.
Exclusively for this weekend beta, there will be player vs. player gameplay, as each secret society will take on the others at places like Stonehenge and Eldorado.
When does The Secret World Beta Weekend 4 start?
The persistent player vs. player war zone of Fusang Projects will host 200 player clashes. The Secret World Beta weekend #4 will start at 9am PDT on June 22nd and will be running until 11.59pm PDT on June 24th.
Funcom SVP of Sales & Marketing Morten Larssen was very satisfied with the first three beta weekends and said:
“The game is definitely living up to our expectations, and it appears this is a sentiment we share with our testers as well. The playtime per participant during the last Beta Weekend was very impressive, shattering all records from previous Beta Weekends or even beta events from our previous games. "
